Who we are
SHAMBA is a roasting company, established in
December 2014. The Representative of the company is Diane NSENGIYUMVA (CEO), a Tropical and Sub-Tropical Agronomist Engineer, with experience in the
coffee sector, matured in Latin America and Italy.
SHAMBA is certified by ARFIC and is part of INTERCAFE, as a Coffee roaster and exporter. The roasting plant is equipped with modern machines of Italian origin and has a potential production of 1 tonne of roasted coffee per day. Roasted coffee is distributed and delivered by order in several cafeterias, hotels, supermarkets, shops, and offices.
OUR ACTIVITIES
SHAMBA is proudly and passionately involved in
the coffee supply chain in multiple ways :
- We assist coffee farmers in their production
process by providing agricultural
consultancy expertise - We provide carefully roasted and properly
packaged high-quality coffee (whole beans or
ground) - We equip bars/restaurants/hotels in the East Africa region with commercial coffee
machines and offer technical training for baristas
our mission
Our team, led by founders Diane NSENGIYUMVA FABIANI and Andrea FABIANI, agronomic engineers, is fully dedicated to promote Burundi coffees and contribute to the growth of the Kayanza Province coffee industry.
Our focus is primarily directed towards sourcing and marketing quality coffee in order to increase revenues for the producers, too often weakened by their precarious position.
Our vISION
Here at SHAMBA, we believe sustainable development is the key to a healthy coffee industry. Consequently, we are constantly trying to increase our positive impact through social initiatives (education of farmers through agricultural expertise, promotion of equity…) and environmental actions (best practices, circular economy…) in our day-to-day operations.
